Laminine is a major part of the basal membrane. It is a glycoprotein of 900kDa which is composed of three polypeptide chains with a multidomain structure. Laminie adheres to many different parts of the basal membrane (collagen IV, heparin sulphate proteoglycan) and to receptors of the cell surface. Stable for at least 3 months when kept between 2 and 8 °C. Do not freeze.
