| The matrix BD Matrigel is a reconstituted basal membrane, extracted from an EHS mouse sarcoma, a tumor which is rich in extracellular matrix proteins. This matrix is composed of laminine, collagen IV, entactine (nidogen) and heparin sulphate proteoglycan (perelcan). Effective for the attachment and differentiation of both normal and transformed anchorage- dependent epithelial and other cell types including neurons and oligodendrocytes. Stable for at least 3 months when kept below -20°C. Thin layered version: Stable for at least 3 months when kept between 2 and 8 °C. Multiwell plates, BioCoat™ Matrigel™ Matrix Cellware. |
