| MantaRay™. Single use cell culture vessel. There is no need to autoclave or clean the flask, saving considerable time and money. Made of flexible plastics, so there is no broken glass shards to handle if the flask is dropped. The MantaRay™ saves space: it is not as tall as a spinner flasks of a similar volume, yet provides the same headspace. This means users get more vertical space in an incubator, providing more shelves and more space for experiments. A shorter flask is also safer because tall flasks are easier to knock over. The MantaRay™ is used for growing cultures of mammalian cells, but can also be used for plant and insect cells. Its stirrer technology is designed to minimize damage to fragile cells, such as mammalian cells. Allows media and gasses to be added or changed during the experiment under sterile conditions. The MantaRay™ can culture cells on micro-carrier beads, which the cells use as a growth surface. Pre-sterilized. |
