Cellulose nitrate membranes, type 113. For sample pretreatment, particle testing and removal. The larger pore sizes (8µm, 5µm, 3µm) find use for cell retention, the 0.45µm pore size for particle collection and the finest pore size (0.1µm) for the ultracleaning of solutions for light scattering measurements. The high non-specific adsorption of this membrane type makes it indispensible for many blotting procedures and for diagnostic kits. Excellent resistance to solvents and acids. Hydrophobe, ideal for air and gaz filtration. Resistant to aqueous solutions in the pH range 4-8,to hydrocarbons and some other organic solvents. Sterilization by autoclaving (121°C), gamma -radiation (25kGy) or with ethlylene oxide.
