Enrichment of circulating tumour cells released from whole blood.

OncoQuick® is a simple to use, rapid and efficient system for the enrichment of circulating tumour cells released by solid tumours or malignant melanomas. OncoQuick® comes as a polypropylene tube with a porous barrier inserted above a specially developed separation solution. Up to 30 mI of anticoagulated blood is put directly into the OncoQuick® tube and centrifuged. Apart from erythrocytes and granulocytes, the separation medium virtually eliminates lymphocytes and mononuclear cells. The circulating tumour cells are concentrated at the interface. Once collected, the fraction enriched with cells is washed.

The tumour cells are available for all classic diagnostic methods. OncoQuick® was developed in cooperation with Hexal Gentech and Greiner Bio-One and is reserved for research use only!
